Pay attention. What is your child really saying? What is an appropriate response- one that will keep her on her own interest track than always trying to jump her over to yours? Sensitivity is the name of the game.

The quote by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, "Every person, regardless of whatever different abilities they may have, can contribute, can be a source of joy, can beam with pride and love." is very important to remember when working with children. I always remind myself to celebrate even the smallest of things because it might have been a huge accomplishment for one child. The look that comes on a child's face when they are praised for something is wonderful and can make my day.
